We (at that That Paint & Pottery Place) are so excited to be partnering again with the Full Bloom Brewery to bring another gorgeous painting to Oskaloosa in June! Each ticket is just 30$ a piece and the event starts at 6 pm. There are 2 ways to register/pay: 1. Venmo 30$ to That Paint & Pottery Place instructor: @Dora-Olson-2 2. Register at the Full Bloom Brewery in person by paying at the register with 30$ cash or check made out to That Paint & Pottery Place. (They have a special envelope just for payment for the paint classes behind the counter) This one is such a gorgeous piece with beautiful rich colors in the night sky set off by a beautiful wolf silhouette! It’s the perfect piece for a fun summers night in Oskey. This class is for all ages to come out and try their hand at painting as well as enjoy some dinner (and maybe some drinks for the adults :) It’s gonna be a great time for all… hope to see you there!

Welcome to the world of big business, old mansions, and family politics! Congratulations! You’re invited To the Birthday celebration of the oldest, (and richest), man in town. Lucky you! Some would kill for the opportunity to meet Barnabas Barnaby Baggs, the famous Pickle Baron! He’s made a lot of enemies in his rise to the top. I hope none of his enemies tries to kill him tonight. But if they do, will you know who did it? Maybe his latest girlfriend? The angry ex-wife? The spoiled nephew? Perhaps the jealous competitor? …Or You? Regardless, you’ll have to figure it out Why! Because…we’re “Clueless!”
This show is intended for an adult audience and includes some suggestive humor.
$75 per person, plus tax—Harvest Club Member & 1 Guest: $70 per person, plus tax (includes dinner, show, wine paired with each course, and gratuity).

Green Roof Birdhouse Presentation
Oskaloosa, IAJune 16, 2026
6:30 pm
Wayne VanMersbergen, a Mahaska County Master Gardener was inspired by a green roof established on a birdhouse featured on a webinar this winter. He was inspired by it enough to install a Green Roof on a Birdhouse he constructed. He wants to inspire others to do the same. Come learn about the project at his presentation at the Mahaska County Extension office Tuesday June 16 at 6:30 pm.
This presentation is open to the public for anyone wishing to learn about the topic; both adults and youth. There is no fee to attend due to Iowa State University Extension and Outreach–Mahaska County and Mahaska County Master Gardener support. Registration is not required, but appreciated. To register, or for additional information about horticulture programming please contact Suzette Striegel, Mahaska County Extension Horticulture and Education Program Coordinator by phone 641-673-5841 or email striegel@iastate.edu.
Mahaska County Master Gardeners are celebrating their twenty-third year. The local program organized in 2003 after the county held their first county training. The educational volunteer program, sponsored by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, provides current, research based, home horticulture information and education to the citizens of Iowa through programs and projects. Master Gardeners receive horticulture training, and volunteer to promote a mission of education and service. The program is open to anyone 16 or older with an interest in gardening and a willingness to use their knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to make a positive impact on their local community. In 2020 the training went online and continues as hybrid (both online and in-person).
More information about this event, Master Gardener training and other horticulture events can be found at the Mahaska County Extension Office; 212 North I Street; Oskaloosa Phone 641-673-5841; and www.extension.iastate.edu/mahaska/yardgarden.htm.

Restorative Stretching
Oskaloosa, IAJune 30, 2026
6:30 am · 7:00 am
Join me for gentle morning restorative stretching sessions in the City Square Park throughout June and July. These 30-minute sessions are designed to help improve mobility, reduce tension, calm the nervous system, and support overall wellness through slow, supportive stretching and mindful movement. This is a beginner-friendly class focused on helping you feel more open, grounded, and refreshed — not exhausted.
Restorative stretching uses gentle, supported positions held for longer periods of time to encourage the body to release tension and recover from daily stress and stiffness.
Please bring:
• Yoga mat
• Towel for support/positioning
• Water
• Bolsters and 2 yoga blocks if you have them

Few animals capture the human imagination quite like the snow leopard. With its
striking beauty and endangered status, this elusive creature serves as a powerful
symbol of the impact humans have on the natural world. This documentary explores the
life and habitat of the snow leopard, while also highlighting the challenges faced by
filmmakers as they journeyed into remote landscapes to capture this remarkable
animal in the wild. Pre-registration is needed to reserve a seat. Save your seat by
