5K Remembrance Color Fun run

Join us to run OR walk OR ride (bike, scooter, etc) the 5K course to remember the babies that have died during pregnancy or infancy. Want something a little shorter? We will also have a mile option. This is not just for families who have lost a baby, but for our entire community to come together and remember boldly together! We will have food, music, games and so much more for the ENTIRE family! Stay tuned for more details, but plan to come with the entire family and make this a family tradition you come back to year after year! These are the food trucks who will be present: -Taco’s Jalisco -The Good Stuff Icecream -Faithful & True Brew Coffee Truck EACH participant must register BY September 7 to guarantee a white t-shirt and to be able to include your child's name on the back. Late registrations may NOT receive a t-shirt. Extra shirts are available for purchase! $20 per shirt. Only participants that are 15 years old AND OLDER need to pay for registration. The goal of this devotional is to be an encouragement for those who may be struggling not only to keep your chin up but also to make Christianity simpler. Whether you are a new Christian or have been a Christian for years we can all relate to similar experiences and struggles. The good news is God and the Bible are not a thing of the past. The truths found in the Bible are still relevant and applicable to today. God is not as distant as you may think. Hopefully after reading this devotional you will cultivate a stronger, deeper relationship with God. In addition, hopefully you will be inspired to discover more about yourself, chase your dreams and goals, learn to love yourself more and claim victory in your life. Ashley Buchanan enjoys a simple life in a small town in Iowa with her four dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing, spending time with family and friends, or activities outdoors. Ashley's biggest passion is the subject of goal setting and chasing down dreams. She aspires to help others do the same so they can learn to enjoy the life they are given. Ashley believes God is present and accessible to those who seek Him. She wants to help others be bold enough to take the necessary steps to approach Him and claim the victory you desire.

Ashley is now engaged and lives in Atlantic, Iowa with her fiancé and stepson. They have two dogs and two cats. She likes to tend to their garden, read, write, spend time with family and friends in her spare time.

Several Mahaska County Master Gardeners will present October Gardening Tips on Tuesday, October 14 , 2025 at 7 pm.  The presentation will be held at the Mahaska County Extension Office, 212 North I Street Oskaloosa.

Gardening season is not over yet, the Master GArdeners will cover tasks to complete in October for Lawn, Fruits, Trees & Shrubs, Flowers, Herbs, Hosueplants, and Vegetables.

During the show, enjoy a three-course dinner that begins with a House Salad with Romaine, Grape Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Black Olives, and Italian Dressing paired with Tassel Ridge Prelude followed by Buttermilk Chicken served with Rice Pilaf, and Green Beans paired with Tassel Ridge Iowa Candleglow® White or for a sweeter wine Tassel Ridge American Pink Catawba. Finish your meal on a sweet note with Chocolate Molten Lava Cake paired with Tassel Ridge Oskyfizzante® Pink!

A zombie theme murder mystery love story? Did we mention it is also a comedy?

Calling all Zombies! Calling all Zombies! Come to the murder mystery show that thinks outside of the coffin! That’s right! We’ve got the perfect show for you, whether you are a Zombie fan or not! Why! Because this show has it all! High drama! Comedy! A love story!…and Zombies, of course. You, yes…you! can play a Zombie, or not, it’s up to you, but we do promise lots of fun for everyone! The walking dead have never been this much fun! Zombie costumes encouraged!!

$75 per person, plus tax—Harvest Club Member & 1 Guest: $70 per person, plus tax (includes dinner, show, wine paired with each course, and gratuity).

Join us for a favorite fall tradition! Enjoy an afternoon at the campground filled with carnival games, BINGO, contests, and not-so-spooky stories by Linda Fox. Don’t miss the dog costume parade and campground-wide trick-or-treating! There will be plenty of parking for the public. Campground campers are encouraged to decorate their sites for both trick-or-treaters and the nighttime lighted auto tour.
