Come + Go from 5-7 pm 

There will be a video presentation playing throughout the evening to explain more about the trip and the place the mission group is going.

Join us on Thursday, February 22 from 6:00-7:00 pm at the Environmental Learning Center for a virtual wolf program from the International Wolf Center. IWC staff will be live to talk about the basics of gray wolf biology and behavior. We will address a variety of topics including where wolves live, what they eat, and how they have adapted to different environments. This interactive program is a great introduction to the world of gray wolves! The program will be held in the lower level of the Environmental Learning Center. Come out the Environmental Learning Center to watch an amazing documentary of the American Bison from 1:00-2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 28th. The documentary titled "The American Buffalo - A Film by Ken Burns (Iowa Public Television) will show the history of the bison over the years to where they are today. Refreshments will be provided. VITA - Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program

Get Your Taxes Done for FREE!  VITA site will be open until April 10th. No tax returns will be accepted after this date.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program offers free tax help to the following:

- Married Couples and Heads of Households: 

• Income limit of $67,000 or less 

- Individuals:

• Income limit of $40,000 or less 

No walk-in appointments are available. All appointments must be made by calling 641-672-1169 and leaving a message.

United Way of Mahaska County will act as a hybrid or in-person or drop-off appointment site location. 

 In-person appointments will be available during the week and on Saturdays. Drop-off appointments can also be made during the week or on Saturdays.
