Join Mahaska County Conservation for a Picnic in the Park at one of our county parks each monday in July! We will meet from 11:00 am until noon at a set location where you can eat your sack lunch. The naturalist will share special information about each park and give ideas on what you can do to enjoy nature in the park.
Each day you come to Picnic in the Park, your name will go into a drawing for a MAMMOTH PRIZE! The prize winner will be drawn at the picnic on July 29.
Reservations are not needed, just show up and have fun with us! Feel free to bring extra supplies such as a lawn chair, camera or anything else you want for comfort or if you stick around and enjoy the park.

Participants will learn basic kitchen skills as well as make food from produce. The day will be filled with fun nutritional activities and lessons! At the end of the camp, youth will have the skills to prepare a meal of their own.
Ages- Completed K-4th grade
Cost- $15 per youth
Registration is now open for 2023 Summer Fun Day Camps. Register through 4-H Online.
All Day Camps are open to all youth, even those not enrolled in 4-H.
Please Bring a sack lunch with your child's name on it. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

There will be an inflatable water slide and other water activities, so make sure your kids come prepared!
The activities at the church will end around 9 pm, but we encourage you to grab a group and head over to the Lacey complex area afterward to watch the community fireworks show together.

I guess we’ll have to call on that crack detective, Squint Leastwood to find out who did it! Someone you know? Or maybe it was you? You’ll meet lots of fun characters! Join Mahaska County Conservation for a Picnic in the Park at one of our county parks each monday in July! We will meet from 11:00 am until noon at a set location where you can eat your sack lunch. The naturalist will share special information about each park and give ideas on what you can do to enjoy nature in the park.
Each day you come to Picnic in the Park, your name will go into a drawing for a MAMMOTH PRIZE! The prize winner will be drawn at the picnic on July 29.
Reservations are not needed, just show up and have fun with us! Feel free to bring extra supplies such as a lawn chair, camera or anything else you want for comfort or if you stick around and enjoy the park.

The naturalist will share special information about each park and give ideas on what you can do to enjoy nature in the park.
Each day you come to Picnic in the Park, your name will go into a drawing for a MAMMOTH PRIZE! The prize winner will be drawn at the picnic on July 29.

Join Mahaska County Conservation for a Picnic in the Park at one of our county parks each monday in July! We will meet from 11:00 am until noon at a set location where you can eat your sack lunch. The naturalist will share special information about each park and give ideas on what you can do to enjoy nature in the park.
Each day you come to Picnic in the Park, your name will go into a drawing for a MAMMOTH PRIZE! The prize winner will be drawn at the picnic on July 29.
Reservations are not needed, just show up and have fun with us! Feel free to bring extra supplies such as a lawn chair, camera or anything else you want for comfort or if you stick around and enjoy the park.
