"Building Community Through Sound" workshop
6-7 PM
Studio Osky
212 N Market St, Oskaloosa
Opening Party to follow from 7-8 PM
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
(Recommended for ages 12-102, ages 8+ with an adult)
LADAMA has traveled the world encouraging everyone to express their humanity by building community through music. "When you improvise, the first thing you have to do is listen. And if you can listen to somebody, you can do anything."
This workshop aims to help participants collaborate to create through body percussion, improvisation, and songwriting.
Musicians and songwriters are welcome, but no musical experience is necessary to enjoy and benefit from this workshop. We invite anyone who loves bringing people together for a common purpose (teachers, coaches, and leaders, to name a few!).

Workshop 3 Speakers:
Ashley Schultz, Muse Music Store
Eddie Pierson, Mahaska Communication Group & Home Plate Sports Cards
Ashley Schultz is born and raised in Oskaloosa. Her passions—family, children, and music—have driven her to chase her dream of
opening a music store and recording studio. Muse is known for their exceptional customer service, building trust and earning the
loyalty of their returning customers. We fully leverage our POS system, ensuring that Square works for them, not the other way
around. Muse has created a space to inspire others to pursue their passions, goals, and gifts. She looks forward to getting to know
each of you and asking you “how I can help”.
Eddie Pierson’s childhood passion for trading cards sparked in 1993 and blossomed into a lifelong dream, leading him to open
Home Plate Sports Cards in 2020. With over 2 million cards collected, Eddie’s store has become a haven for sports enthusiasts, offering
everything from vintage memorabilia to modern collectibles. He is the 2023 Acorn Award winner from Mahaska Chamber and
Development Group. He actively shares his passion by participating in card shows across the Midwest and hosting birthday parties
at his shop. Eddie also contributes to the community through his role as a Business Account Specialist at Mahaska Communication
Group and as a member of various organizations, including Oskaloosa Main Street, United Way of Mahaska County, and Exchange
Group for Entrepreneurs.
