Knee-High Naturalists "Eat Like a Bird"

Bring your children ages 5 and younger out to the Environmental Learning Center on Wednesday, February 5th from 9-10 am for the monthly Knee-High Naturalist program. This FREE program is designed to help foster learning about nature and exploring the outdoors. We ask that adults bringing children remain with them during the program.

On February 5th, the program is titled "Eat Like a Bird". Kids will explore how birds eat with their beaks and how the beaks help birds eat certain foods. We will also have a fun game of eating like a bird with Fruit Loop cereal. If your child needs an alternate "bird food", please let us know.

Watch this documentary to learn about the North American beaver's history, near extinction, and comeback as a growing number of scientists have come to regard beavers as overlooked tools when it comes to reversing the disastrous effects of global warming and world-wide water shortages.
